A J Cole mixtape

This is pretty and all about life. Gives some early 2000 neo soul nostalgia along with poetic verses. The beats are versatile. He speaks his life and is transparent. I slept on J Cole for so long. He is super nice sounding over Roy Ayers. Normally artists could not bless it like that. I think Badu and Roy Ayers were the best choices on this mixtape. I have one feedback it still had a bit too much fashion rap in it for my personal tastes. I just hear a lot about image at times and part of it takes a little away from the transparency. However, I am finally opening up to J Cole.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5CcXiDIitw

I have been contemplating

I have been contemplating doing this blog for about a year. I was like let me finally do it. We need more positive uplifting Hip Hop music circulating. Be easy, Venkat

Gutter Free Hip Hop Christian Hip Hop

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bU3W-e-tq5g&t=1407s This is beautiful. It talks a lot about different aspects of the Christian walk from the struggle to walk and surrendering the struggle and leading with weakness. A lot of 808 sounds and you hear guitar backdrops. Different tempos and pretty versatile. This mixtape has artists that speak of everything from rebuking racism to issues with the flesh. The only thing I have feedback is that it is a bit redundant in terms of beats and flows. I think a little more variety would be great for listening ears. Overall I would give this a great rating.

I am starting a blog called mixtapes with meaning

Support! I will be reviewing mixtapes and going to try to advance the movement.
